Lately I've been obsessed with The Smiths, and The Young Ones. I rented My Life With Morrissey the other night. It's a dark/and sometimes creepy comedy about a girl who's obsessed with Morrissey(there's a scene where she's dry humping a blow up doll with Morrissey's face taped to it!). It was filmed in Hollywood(there's a scene that was filmed at Headline Records on Melrose). I suggest renting it if you have nothing better to do. I went to Borders last night, and bought The Young Ones DVD colection, and the new Polysics cd, "Now Is The Time". Both are excellent. After that I stopped by SOHO to see how much Gregory Isaacs tickets were, but by the time I got there it had already sold out, and the guy at the door said it would be $30 to get in. I ended up not seeing Gregory Isaacs(he didn't sound too good anyway). I spent the rest of the night watching half of The Young Ones collection. I've been sick the past few days, and it's going to be raining all day, so I'm staying home and doing homework that's due tomorrow. If I'm feeling better I want to see Westbound Train, and The Toasters at The Key Club on Wednesday. Are any of you going?

I went to Hollywood on Saturday.
I met up with Dominique at Amoeba, and bought
The Sonics- Here Are The Sonics
    Laurel Aitken- Superstar
Green Island- Hit Em Soft and Hard!
    and
    Riki Rocksteady- Your Official Introduction
    We talked to Matt(the mod)for a bit.
I was told Amoeba had sold six copies of, "A Sweet Serenade", but it turns out only four had been sold, so if you haven't picked up a copy yet, head over to Amoeba and do so(please).
Arrived at the Knitting Factory an hour early(actually they were running a bit late).
Got pizza across the street, then headed back to the Knitting Factory.
    Soul Captives were very tight.
I had fun dancing to The Phenomenauts.
    Met Nikki from my space.
    Satori made me sleepy.
Chris Murray Combo played, "Downtown Gal", and, "Bring Your Love To Me", so I was happy.
Said hi to Kitty, and Minh.
    Hung out with, Robin.
By the time Buck-O-Nine went on I was pretty drunk. I'm sure I made an ass out of myself.
    Debonaires played an amazing set.
I had a lot of fun. Infact, I haven't had that much fun at a show in a long time.
I went back to Amoeba Sunday morning and bought the new Mad Sin CD, and a Derrick Harriott collection.
    I'm back home.
I missed Wanda Jackson at SOHO tonight, but I might see her in Hollywood.
    I can't complain, I had a good weekend.
